The film releases on Nov. 14th on DVD so you will have no excuse. Your
favorite actor is in it: Mel Gibson. Yup, ol' Mel owned an electric car
and loved it. Did you like "Independence Day"? Dean Devlin also
produced this film so it is not a funky documentary at all.

Chrysler produces electric cars though I would call them "carts" as they
only can do 25 mph max. The Chrysler dealer up the street sells them
and they are called Gem Cars. The problem is they need to do 40 mph or
you're going to piss people off following you on the city streets many
of which are between 30-45 mph.

With gas prices what have been (and will be again after the Nov
elections) a lot people would like to own an electric car. Some of us
would like a Prius but the only version that makes any sense if you do a
lot of in town driving is the 250 mph modified version which you can
charge in your garage. The movie points this out.

Part of a car dealer's profit is the maintenance they do on your car.
Guess what? There is nearly none on an electric car. So the dealers
didn't like them.

So? A lot of Republicans don't like to claim Nixon. :)

I'm sure there still are. There would be no reason for people to take
them down. You just refuse to see them.

There is a market for them. But they brainwash macho goons into
believing them must have a big muscle SUV or pickup which will never
haul anything or go off road. The manufacturers want to sell those
before they are stuck with them. The majority however is to smart to
be suckered into that.

I don't know why you love the oil companies so much other than you must
hold stock in them. You're falling behind the times, Shemp.
