I hope I'd have the guts, as I've already said.

Oh Judy, that is a no brainer!  But since there are people that would have a problem or not have the guts, we need a law that would allow somebody who does have the guts to do so. 100,000 lives can not compare to the *rights*, whatever they may be, of somebody intent on committing mass murder.
