He was the original host of the Daily Show. Ran into some problems with Comedy Central once (indeed, they suspended him for a week once) and then got hired by David Letterman's company to do the Late, Late Show that comes on after him. But he was let go from that a year or so ago and was replaced by the Scotsman Craig Ferguson, I think his name is.
