Someday, Shemp, you should travel again outside the
US and get over your belief that things work in other
places the way they work here. I made a number of
close friendships among the women who worked at Yab
Yum. They got to keep 60% of the $200-500 per hour
"fees," plus tips (which, given the clientele, were
considerable and which, given the Netherlands, are
never reported for taxes). The house makes the bulk
of its money on the champagne that the guests were
obliged to buy for the women.

This was about 10 years ago. On my last trip to
Amsterdam, I looked up a few of my favorites (I was
kinda their "pet"), and all are now retired, never
again having to work at anything, much less at Yab
Yum. (It doesn't take much of a nest egg to retire
in the Netherlands, given how much is already paid
for by the guvmint.) A couple of them have promised
to visit me in the south of France, since they are
now free to travel. It's not everyone's idea of how
to retire at 30, but at least half a dozen of the
women I knew there have done just that.

The Netherlands is not America. Keep your American
prudery and assumptions at home where they belong.
They only pollute more sensible countries, not
uplift them.
