Maharishi has definitely allowed the skewing of perception to occur
around SV. There are really two ways to proceed in that case- Its
like a child who wants to eat too many sweets. If you keep telling
them "no", they never learn from experience and the desire is not
resolved. However if they are allowed to overeat the sweets, they
feel sick afterwards and learn from it. So the seekers come up with
these ideas and Maharishi lets them run with them, often straight
into a wall. It ain't pretty sometimes, but it is effective as a
teaching method towards self-sufficiency.
