No, not at all. Actually, he probably knows who Maharishi is, but billions of people on this planet do now, whereas they *do* know who the Dalai Lama is. You can pretty much assume that most people in China know who he is, because he's banned there; there's nothing like being banned to make you famous. :-) The point is simply that every so often you might want to get a grip and realize that prety much the only people who care about Maharishi are the ones who bought his product and still practice it. That's very *few* people on this blue-green ball in black space. Maharishi is a minor spiritual teacher who achieved his 15 minutes of fame by piggybacking on the fame of others (and who still does) and using that fame to generate large sums of cash. As opposed to some people, like the Dalai Lama, who have achieved fame by not seeking it, and through dedicating his life to doing nice things for others.
