Unless this is a new feature of the Real ID law, I think you (or your friend; not sure who wrote this) meant the *bill-to* address must match what the credit card company has on file. Currently, the bill-to and ship-to addresses can be different; that's why most sites have two different forms, one for each, and a little box to click if they're the same so you only have to fill out the bill-to form. (Obviously, it would really mess up Christmas sales if shipments had to be sent to your billing address. I've had gifts shipped to friends and family for years.) If it's an expensive product, like a computer, that you're having shipped to a different address than your bill-to address, some sites insist on doing some further verification to make sure you're not using someone else's card; this can delay the order by a few days. > And the whole point of having the MBE address > for my ship-to address is so that I don't have > to be there to sign for packages. Possibly an MBE ship-to address gives some sites pause. (FedEx won't ship to a PO Box at all.) But a residential address should be no problem unless it's an expensive item.
