Anybody can have scars on their hands and feet
and side.

The problem with Jesus as Messiah is that he
clearly wasn't the Messiah prophesied to the Jews
in the Hebrew Scriptures. Among other things,
The prophesied Messiah will be a human being, not
God. And it's blasphemy in Judaism to say a human
being is divine. The High Priest wasn't ripping
his garments just for dramatic effect.

I know the response to this is that the Jews have
misunderstood their own scriptures, but that's
just insulting. It's no wonder knowledgeable Jews
aren't interested.

I'm not saying Jesus wasn't a Really Big Deal, just
that Christians ought to leave the Jews the frack
alone about him and worry about their own salvation.
If God wants His Chosen People to turn to Jesus,
He'll find a way to do it, but I seriously doubt it's
going to look like a parallel between Bible stories.
And He's got a whole lot of 'splainin' to do.
