Barry's definition of "don't have much to say" is
unique to him. He seems to believe a response to
someone else's post never involves any original
thought on the responder's part.  That's just plain
weird.

I think you're right that he'd be much happier with
a blog of his own. He could have a comments feature,
but he wouldn't have to read the comments or
interact with his readers if he believes responses
don't contribute anything.
