Thats a number 1 advice, always given, as she wants people to be stable >IN a round about way - it > equalls the same as MM, promoting Hell also equalls no pronotiion, doesn't it? You are ceratinly more honest saying this, but there is of course the promise to arrive at paradiese after moving through hell. > When I first got into this, I mentioned Kundalini to a friend who is in TM- never heard > from her again. Kinda went like Kundalini- hmm, Kundalini- ok, I will call you back in 5 > minutes- one year later, the phone hasn't rung. > > If she heard more besides that, she would have heard how once it is turned on, it cant be > switched off, how the Om mantra is used here and MMY said you loose all your money > from that - doesn't he? This is really directly from Guru Dev, as we found out. GD said this, I am not sure if I would count on it. I think it has all to do with this brahmanic-sannyas connection, OM being a Vedic mantra, while the other bija mantras are tantric. To me this thinking is a relict of the caste system. Anyway it's already a lot less when you combine it to another mantra - thats what the Vaishnavas say. I think that its even in the Bhagavatam, that OM should be only used in conjunction, like in 'Om namo Narayana' But of course you are promoting if you tell your experience here - never mind, thats fine with me and everybody else. > I mentioned all this before- imagine a TM promotion- open eye meditation all day, > kundalini fully awakens, OM mantra- could loose all, vairagya developes- non > attachement to all- How many would sign up for such a thing? Hahaha I don't think really people, at least long-term meditators or spiritual seekers would object to any of what you say. I think its more the overall impression that people go for it or not. Maybe you are just too forcefully trying and that turns some people off. The other thing is, you start from a perspective of conflict: like saying 'this MMY cannot be enlightened because of such and such' For example i mainly responded to things said that I found incorrect - I still find. > Here, let me make some comparisons- TM- cosmic ego, Sw G- loose your ego, TM- > cosmic mind, SW G - loose your mind. TM - better, bigger Me, Sw G- no more Me, TM- > gain 200%, Sw G - Loose it all- hahahahaha.TM- save world, SW G- Losse the world, TM- > Raja, Sw G - Caca, TM - Limos, Sw G - bimbos- I am really going off now, aren't I. I have read about Swami G long before this exchange here. Someone at ATM, John Manning, brought her up once and actually mixed her up with Gangaji. He the posted some exchange he had and the general response was very positive. I also had a positive impression, she seemed to be somewhat conservative, traditional, but not really unusual in what she said. I still find the same now. The same person, John, who endorsed her at the time at ATM, is here on this board and had a totally opposite reaction now. > You german folks are a serious crowd. i always have a hard time finding the right joke to > get them laughing but I like you folks, I even speak enough German to get by. Okay, but I'm really not that serious myself. People here think I'm a big joker. Really, not fun :-)
