Stuart and list,

I saw faithless on Saturday night here at Sheffield and was pretty
unimpressed. I saw them at Easter in Glasgow and, in comparison,
the sheffield gig was quite disappointing. The energy of the entire
band was so low. Whilst the songs were all great i really got the
feeling that both Maxi and Sister Bliss were only there cos they
had agreed to be.

I have also read the article and found most of the news to be new
to me. Having both read the article and seen the gig i think that it is
about time that Faithless go away for a year and sort themselves
out. The Glasgow gig was just mind-blowing and i think if they can't
gig like that then they just shouldn't.

With both Dave and Jamie leaving the band and Rollo not
performing live (althoguh as i understood it he very rarely did
anyway) i think that the next album could be quite different. As
Sister Bliss said Jamie's influence was very 'World Music' like so i
think we can expect the next album to be without songs like Don't
Leave, Angeline, Hour Of Need and similar tracks. I thikn that by
losing this element we may find that Faithless only have 2
dimentions - the incredible house talents of Sister Bliss and Rollo
and the great lyrical treats that Maxi serves up. I think we may find
this 3rd album to be a lot less 'deep' than the previous two - in
short i think Faithless will miss Jamie.

Anyway, despite all these relatively negative comments i did have a
good night on Saturday (Groove Armarda and Hybrid were great -
they perfomed with the enthusiasm and energy that Faithless
lacked) and i even came away with Sister Bliss's set list which was
quite a bonus!

OK, i'll stop!

Rowan.
