In that case, then I do count myself lucky I was at the Newcastle gig.
Maxi Jazz made all sorts of comments throughout the night to the effect
that the crowd was lifting them up. Everyone was jumping up and down
maniacally, including all of the band and nearly every single member of
the audience. During the encore (second) performance of "God Is A DJ"
Maxi seemed to add an extra few lines which I didn't recognise,
mentioning the connection between a performer and a crowd. I think he
meant it too. It was good fortune, I guess. Oh, and he jumped into the
audience at one point (as did the guitarist later on).

If Faithless really are taking more than a year out, then they went out
with a bang, they really did. Fantastic gig. Sorry to hear that the
other six gigs weren't necessarily as climactic as Newcastle was.

Another benefit was that the merchandise people (both official & touts)
were selling stuff off cheaper 'cos it was their last opportunity for a
while... came away with 5 T-shirts (3 Faithless, 1 Groove Armada 1
Hybrid) and no money, but a big smile on my face...

Hybrid seemed a little bit knackered but Groove Armada really went for
it as well. Very good night, to cut a long story short.

Stuart.
