Totally understand but I need a bit more information on what needs to be 
clarified ;)

Have a look at these:

What specifically do you need more information on with regard to shared 
hosting?  Then we can endeavour to update the documentation accordingly.

For those that like living dangerously, Rob Rusher posted advice on 
changing the /farcry mapping for shared hosts -- something he's got 
going personally at HostMySite.com:
