What a sweet idea... here's the rub. I know something about CF, but nothing about FarCry. Until I get even a basic set up working and gain some idea of how this system works, how on earth do you think i'm going to be able to fix problems with the core? (enter Homer Simpson moment here :) ).
And, Michael - yes, buying commercial support is certainly an option i'd consider, at some point. However, I don't tend to make such investments in software or time until I am comfortable that the stuff actually works for my clients. When was the last time you bought and recommended a system to a client without testing it? Geoff had said in an earlier post that there seemed to be a specific problem with MySQL 5 and that "We'll try and address these over the next couple of days and release a new installer". I'm simply asking for an update. You know, I fully support the concept of openSource and the supporting the community - I just need to get past go first though, not an unreasonable position is it?.
