Plugins loaded under the GPL licensed distribution of FarCry need to be released as either GPL (which is standard for the license) or LGPL (for which we provide a special exception to the standard GPL license). Although you can sell a GPL/LGPL licensed code base, the person you sell it to would be within their rights (under the terms of the license) to modify and/or re-distriubute the plugin under the terms. Alternatively, you can restrict the use of the plugin to the Commercial License version of FarCry. This means that the plugin cannot be redistributed (except under the terms you specify), and can only be run in conjunction with a FarCry installation using the FarCry Commercial License. This would require your client to purchase a commercial license for FarCry in addition to your plugin. In simple terms, the FarCry Commercial License is $5,000USD per server, or $15,000USD for unlimited number of servers in a single organisation (we call this a "site license"). Options for virtual servers, and other configurations are covered in the license detail. The Commercial License version of FarCry is the same code wise -- it removes the potential difficulties you might otherwise face surrounding the GPL and closed source code. For development partners we have a special re-sale program for the commercial license, such that you can sell the Commercial License for FarCry Core and earn a commission on that sale.
