I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice -- just my thoughts on how GPL works ;) If you are not making any changes to the code base you can do what you want. Sell it, give it away for free, charge services it doesn't matter. If you are modifying the code base for your clients then you may need to consider whether or not you are affected by the distribution clauses in the GPL that would allow your staff/clients to redistribute the code as GPL. Its all about "quid quo pro" when it comes to the code base. If you keep your code open and share great -- even if you charge for services. if you use the code base for *closed source* you need to consider getting a commercial license. -- geoff http://www.daemon.com.au/ PS. Of course if you just want to support farcry development and the health of the community consider buying a commercial license and/or engaging those companies that contribute to the community :) -- You received this message cos you are subscribed to "farcry-dev" Google group.
