I have been thing about shared FarCry implementations (mainly at ISPs where you might not have access to the core farcry bits)

What do you think about adding the PLP directory to the project directory instead of the core?
Ie application.fourq.plpstorage points to "farcry_projectname/PLPs"

Pls note application.fourq.plpstorage is deprecated. The correct variable name is application.path.plpstorage (have updated rogue entries for this in the next build).

In this way each app then controls its own PLP instances and thus a developer that only has access to his app instance can remove dead/unwanted PKP instances...

Of course you are right. The reality is we have been hpoing to migrate PLP instance storage to the DB. But you should be able to override the application variable from within your farcry_project Application.cfm -- just checking to see how you might do that.
