There doesn't seem to be a clear Linux install document floating about anywhere, and I'm certain the install will differ fairly markedly from the bog-standard Windows piece on the FarCry site. If someone can point me in the right direction, I'm happy to author the whole bloody thing.
The install shouldn't be any different. You need to extract the files, create a datasource, set up your webserver mappings and run the install. You obviously wouldn't be using IIS as your webserver so maybe this technote from Kai K�nig on installing with Apache may help:
