This is something I've been mulling over for a while, because its really something that should be applied to all display handler invocations. That is, the ability to pass in an optional set of parameters in addition to the object instance properties.
One simple scenario I've encountered is displaying a thumbnail in a teaser display. It would be nice to alternate the alignment of the image from left to right without having to have two teaser methods.
An stParams structure would let you enforce a certain alignment at invocation.
