Still problems unfortunately To make it easier ;-) everything now is called ncc-farcrytemplate (the datasource, the actual directory, the virtual directory) http://www.ncc.nsw.gov.au/farcry (after farcry/farcry login) gives me a new error: 'The argument DSN passed to function logActivity() is not of type variableName.' and http://www.ncc.nsw.gov.au/ncc-farcrytemplate goes to the correct directory (http://www.ncc.nsw.gov.au/applications/ncc-farcrytemplate/www) and serves me a totally blank page

The name of your directory should be the same name as in your apps.cfm. If this is not correct, then you will get errors.
