I've been really quite for some time on FarCry, but I think one of the issues that needs to be addressed (and not saying Daemon need to do this) is a "package" system.
For example, on the FarCry site there is the Photo Gallery "component". And, if you are reasonable comfortable with cutting and pasting and with CFMX, etc. you can get the Photo Gallery working. But - for people wanting "Out Of The Box" plug-ins - it would be a complex process to get the Photo Gallery to work.
This is the case with many of the extensions to FarCry (if they are not just simple component extensions - e.g. something called Stock News that extends News).
Packages (like a Forums plugin) may even have complex actions that have to take place to install them.
So - that is just my two cents worth on why there aren't lots of things on the Exchange.
The other 10th of a cent is this..... "Maybe FarCry satisfies most people's requirements out of the box". I know in our case it does (and we only make a few tiny extensions - most of which would be of no use to anyone else anyways).
Regards,
Gary

I agree, as I thin FarCry will start to get left behind in terms of usable
modules (for all) if submission is not increased....

The exchange (http://farcry.daemon.com.au/go/downloads/exchange) hasn't
really been bowled over in the rust to submit extensions.
If people have something that the FarCry Community would benefit from feel
free to submit via

Surely there must be more of these around with the amount of sites running
on FarCry? Is it is a case of people not submitting them to the Exchange
when they built sites?
Has anyone seen or built a Form Generator Module? If not I will not doubt
begin to build one but don't want to re-invent the wheel.. ;-)
