Hi Tim, > anybody know what happened to it?
Well nothing, except my slackness! With the lack of submissions I haven't spent much time on the exchange however I've been sitting on bosFAQ for a bit too long. The good news is bosFAQ is alive now at: http://farcry.daemon.com.au/go/downloads/exchange/general/bosfaq Cheers David -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tim Lucas Sent: Thursday, 2 June 2005 10:19 PM To: FarCry Developers Subject: [farcry-dev] RE: Plugins / Exchange On 02/06/2005, at 8:04 PM, Andrew Mercer wrote: > I have a 'package' that can create dynamic forms, but like Gary says, > without a package deployment it is tricky to know how to distribute it > to people. > > For myself, I just zip up all the files required (keeping the paths) > and then dump it into a new site, then frigg around to make it fit the > look and feel of the site. Likewise I have an FAQ module that has custom types, publishing rules, permissions, a config and a custom tab... deploying all of that is quite tricky. Many moons ago there were discussions of a package format, and I think an xml format for the package descriptor was suggested also. It might be worth consulting the archives and pulling these suggestions from the grave. If anybody is looking at developing something I'd be interested in lending a hand. As a side note, the FAQ module was never added to the exchange, though it was emailed to the relevant persons... anybody know what happened to it? - tim lucas --- You are currently subscribed to farcry-dev as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Aussie Macromedia Developers: http://lists.daemon.com.au/ --- You are currently subscribed to farcry-dev as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Aussie Macromedia Developers: http://lists.daemon.com.au/
