I dont have a direct answer to your question - but I can provide you with some information about how FarCry works.

Firstly, there is only ONE copy of the core files for FarCry required.  The ONE instance of the Administrator runs for all the FarCry sites on your server.  However, there are issues with this:

1. The Admiinstrator relies on the DOMAIN of the URL to work out which instance of FarCry it should be administering.  This means that each FarCry site needs to have a unique domain.  You will need to set up a Virtual Server for each domain.  This happily works on ISS - but I dont run Apache so am not sure what you need to do there.  The information in the APPS.CFM file provides the details for the Administrator to work.  The installation procedure should maintain the contents of the APPS.CFM for multiple instances.  But the installation tool stops there.

2. You may need to play around with mappings and things manually to get more than one site to work at the same time.

Hi,

We have two farcry sites running of the same webserver (Linux Apache).

It seems that when we installed the second farcry installation it overwrote the CF mapping in the CF Administrator to the new site, and the first site doesn't work.

Should I have re-installed the application for the second site or ??

Mike
