Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has seen this problem where running ibis (no options) yields very different run times (no load on the system):
elyons@XXX (~/src/fastbit-ibis1.3.4/bin) $ time ./ibis FastBit ibis1.3.4 List of options for ./ibis ... NOTE: the output file stores the results selected by queries, the log file is for the rest of the messages such error messages and debug information real 0m0.289s user 0m0.000s sys 0m0.000s elyons@XXX (~/src/fastbit-ibis1.3.4/bin) $ time ./ibis FastBit ibis1.3.4 List of options for ./ibis ... NOTE: the output file stores the results selected by queries, the log file is for the rest of the messages such error messages and debug information real 0m7.556s user 0m0.000s sys 0m0.000s I've tried this one two different systems (both running Ubuntu) and will two versions of ibis (1.3.3 and 1.3.4). The wait time can be up to 15 seconds. Any ideas?
