I meant /proc/iomem should reflect only IO related memory stuff. PPC64
follows that.

What about creating kexec/kdump related entries in /proc or /sys ?
Already there is a patch by Jeff Moyer to create the following boolean
entries: /sys/kernel/kexec_loaded and /sys/kernel/kexec_crash_loaded
