Hi Harry, I've tried with both gtk2 and gtk1. I've googled a lot of issues, couldn't have anything working (some of them are just for linux, and most of them suggested to install libjack-dev which apparently is not available in macport). Even besides Jack (I don't care too much about it), also maxmsp compiling is not working (as usual, some .h of the MaxAPI not found - of course I have them in Max API folder).
I know such issues are common problems when setting up compiling environments - however I confess I was hoping that getting Faust to work would have been more... "user friendly"! (I assume that FaustWorks will rely on such installation to compile and run binary files properly?) I'm about to give up, at least for today - I'll stick with the web compiler - which works great, by the way!! Is there a web compiler also for JavaScriptAudioNodes? The Faust WebApi page says "The Faust2 branch has been updated with a new JavaScript backend...". I suppose I have to install this special version of Faust in order to have "faust -lang js freeverb.dsp" working (since otherwise it says that "lang" is not recognized). But where do I get it? Thanks a lot for your kind help in this process. I mean it! Daniele 2014-04-09 16:06 GMT+02:00 Harry van Haaren <[email protected]>: > You need gtk2, not gtk1.
