Hi, I'm doing my *master's project* at the State University of Campinas (Brazil) - UNICAMP under the guidance of Prof. Jonathan Manzolli in the area of *synthesis of musical instruments.*
I'm intending to make a *VSTi plugin for synthesis of various orchestral instruments*, starting with the violin. Made VSTi, I plan to use it within the *Sibelius* and Finale. I was trying to do this task by JUCE library, but it is with many internal problems. Now I'm trying to do this using *FAUST*. *My questions are:* *1-* The FAUST receive a MIDI input? How I do it? *2-* If I can do FAUST receive a MIDI input (Sibelius in real time), I connect the Sibelius and FAUST by JACK? *3-* Once developed VSTi plugin, to have it as 100% functional, just put it in the VST folder on my Mac? *4-* Is there *any example of VSTi plugin* that I can use? Any project that receives a MIDI message and synthesizes this MIDI message in audio? *My system is:* Mac i7 2.66GHz - 8GB OSX 10.10.5 Thank you for your help and attention.
