On my Linux wks at home hmmm well 0%. To be totally honest I did compile one thin: the kernel, but that was only because I wanted to. The DOS box at home: 0% So you _really_ do _not_ have to be a programmer to use linux. you don't even have to know what a compiler is. I don't even have a compiler installed on my server (makes it a teeny-weeny bit harder to crack, nobody can compile any crack-tools on-site) you just say apt-get install program, and then wait, and/or answer some questions for the installer. This will download and install the program. When you get tired of the program you say apt-get --purge remove program (--purge is to remove any config files). --Wolf -- |\ _ Maintainer of DOG - The New Shell! | .\---. http://dog.sourceforge.net/index.php / ,____/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/dog / /C:\DOG\>_ [EMAIL PROTECTED] Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall Humpty Dumpty had a great fall All the king's horses and all the king's men Couldn't put Humpty together again. ---------- list options/archives/etc.: http://www.topica.com/lists/fd-dev unsubscribe: send blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ==^================================================================ This email was sent to: [email protected] EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?bz8Rv5.bbRv4l.YXJjaGl2 Or send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
