My instinct in all things would be that people don't do things for no reason
at all. If the EU examiner (unlike many of the other examiners) sat down,
reviewed his syllabus, and put an additional section on it, I'd assume he
did so "deliberately, purposefully" (Matrix has been on a lot recently...).

Whether or not it is on the exam, I'd say there is absolutely no basis for
any assertion that it would not appear on this exam simply because it is new
on the syllabus. Rather, the same factor could be an equally plausible
basis for assuming it would be on the exam. A lot of these tips appear
based on assumptions about how the examiners behave which simply have no
basis at all. If one could show that in the past, every time the examiner
made an "addition" it took two sittings to appear on the paper, it would be
another thing, but I wouldn't rely on assumptions like that - not with these
exams.

Regards

Brian

Well I haven't covered any of those - mergers was just added to the
cirriculum wasn't it? Our guy said he didn't think it would appear so
soon but of course that's just his guess/opinion. I'd be interested
to hear people's comments although I don't know where I'd find the
time to cover any more than I have - it's my last exam and I'm finding
it much more difficult than the others (althought I think you feel
that way about every one of these monsters).

Anyone any thoughts?
