Hi Bill,
I didn't look at Ext JS specifically, but included it in the category of
javascript libraries, of which there are several good ones. I decided to go
the flex route rather than the html/css/javascript route for several
reasons, one of which is because I'm a big fan of the ability to define UI
components declaratively (in MXML) while handling events programmatically.
This keeps the amount of code necessary to build an application small,
making maintenance easier down the road. Of course, flex also provides a
large UI component library and a convenient development environment which
speeds initial development.
