Well, I did not exactly know, what you are planning. Yes, you are right, it is 
possible to add a hook to the ServiceInterceptor of the CXF interceptor chain 
to call the specific method depending on the query parameter but as soon as you 
like to replace the JAX-RS implementation CXF with another implementation, this 
has to be rewritten for the new implementation.

want to clear up a bit of miscommunication:

The 3.5 release will _not_ be including CXF-supported services (themselves the 
product of Jiri Kremser's good work as our Google Summer of Code student).
