For me there is a BIG difference between inspiration and plagiarism I played a LOT of pen and paper ice games myself and I ( though retired now ) see a LOT of those elements in computer games however people don't call them stolen. Oh and while Tolkien was the first to do a large novel he was by no means the first to write about elves, dwarf's etc so was he stealing from mythology ? ( and all the authors that wrote similar smaller stories etc before him ? ) Though my main argument here is nothing was plagiarized so why the fuss ? Troy Lawson PS I live in Austrlia and we had dice Dungeons and dragon's games but they where rare compared to other places in the world. As far as I know pretty much every western country had them it just depends what you where in at the time Gary Gygax released them ( 80's to 90's for me but I believe it was released some time in the 1970's and had dice from 4 sides to 100 ( looks like a golf ball lol ).
