Love it that you are back John.
The firsts are always the hardest (first day /week/ month, Birthday etc). Remember that as long as he is in your heart he is still with you. I lost my Dad not long after we had become reacquainted after a long and painful estrangement. At first I mourned for the time I had lost, but then realised I needed to concentrate on the short time we had spent together as friends. Clearing out a loved one's possessions gives you an insight into their lives, don't you think? I discovered my Dad was addicted to those home delivery kitchen gadget catalogues! I found at least 6 of every daft gadget known to mankind. Plastic lettuce knives, doovers to hold onions while you cut them and god knows how many jar opener doohickies. Sending you best wishes. I loved sorting through my dads stuff when he passed, made me smile the little memory treasures amongst it all. I still makes me smile as i kept just a couple of keepsakes :).
