FWIW, I browsed through the mailing list* archives and found your argumentation everything but abusive. You clearly made an effort to be polite and correct, and you repeatedly offered to help in the best spirit, despite being rather harshly put down several times. I did find most of I.G.'s replies to you terse and often rude. From a sampling of his other posts, he was not consistently rude, but he did not seem to welcome your involvement or opinion. * As suggested by Isaac in the above mentioned post, presumably because this would prove how long-winded and abusive you are.
