I think one of the reasons for Felix not growing as fast as you wish, might be
that C++ has taken a hit from DotNet. Felix's ability to blend with C++ is it's
most important feature imo, so hard times for C++ programmers isn't good for
Felix either.

But let's be positive, so "What needs to be done to get more people involved?"

Well, I think your own idea of a really basic portable windowing lib to show
off makes sense. The last time I was up to date with Felix the only things that
I found missing was a varray and and 'new' operator, so the language itself
isn't missing much or is it?

I don't know how much advertising that's already been done in the C++
community, but If you think Felix is ready for it (easy installation process
and updated docs is important if there suddendly would be many users), I'm sure
some of the lurkers have good ideas HOW to spread the word.

Btw, I'm sorry I haven't had the time to contribute much, I've only found a bug
or two, so I'm not the right guy to come here 'preaching' how things should be
done. A few days a go I finally got my Ubuntu installation working, so now I
finally will be able to try new Felix versions.

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
Get stuff done quickly with pre-integrated technology to make your job easier.
