Hmmm.. actually the idea is: Felix provides a portable platform based on *source* code (not bytecode). So it should appeal to Unix and C/C++ people as an alternative approach to .NET or Java. In particular it should appeal to Open Source developers for that reason. > But let's be positive, so "What needs to be done to get more people involved?" > > Well, I think your own idea of a really basic portable windowing lib > to show off makes sense. I'm not a member of that community anymore. I have no idea how to do it. The problem is: it will never be 'ready'. Chicken and egg: to get it into a better state, we need more people. > Btw, I'm sorry I haven't had the time to contribute much, Hmm .. wasn't it you that wrote the Wikipedia article? > I've only found a bug or two, so I'm not the right guy to come here > 'preaching' > how things should be done. That matters of course, but it's a community project so if it doesn't do what you want, you can change it. There's no DB interface .. want one? Do it! We were hovering on 3 developers and 0 users, but it's down to 1 again. It's below critical mass. Sigh .. just rebuilt the docs with the new working folding tables of contents.. and sourceforge won't let me connect using ssh to upload .. -- John Skaller <skaller at users dot sf dot net> Felix, successor to C++: http://felix.sf.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
