Hi all,
Well, I'm finally going to talk about the new Siamese kitty that was willed to me. Remember this kitty is 15 yrs old.
Well we found out that she isn't a girl but a very neutered boy.
He had 7 front claws embeded into his pads. So a very minor procedure was performed to get his claws back to normal looking.
Had severe case of ear mites in his ears then on top of that he has "Hyperthyroid".
I have never dealt with a kitty with this illness, pretty much everything else as far as illnesses go.
So whatever advise you give me would be appreciated. What kind of meds will he need? (I won't be picking up the meds until tomorrow. I don't know what they are)
Since he is an older meezer do you think his chances of a good life are hopeful.
I only listen to what the Vet partly because was kind of numb when he was telling me everything that was wrong with him. He said Ling is a fighter and a sweet kitty.
As I stated I know nothing about Hyperthyroid in cats.
Please advise!    :(
Thanks!
