Hi, For the IV's, shots and examination you may want to try a "Squeeze Cage". If you can get the cat into a "Trap" then you can transfer it to the "Squeeze Cage". If you put newspaper under the bottom of the trap you can keep a cat in a "BIG" trap for a few days.I don't know if you know what a " Squeeze Cage" is. A "Squeeze Cage" has a panel(inside of the cage) along one side of the cages sides. You can slide this panel toward the other side of the cage until the animal is firmly held between the panel and the other side of the cage. You may be able to borrow a "Squeeze Cage" from a rescue group or your local animal shelter.
