Belinda,
Kerry's Bandy also had anemia and fevers at the same time.  She thought the dexamethasone helped with both, first in shot form and then in pill form. However, I do not know if Bandy had high WBC. Steroids can sometimes make it harder to fight infection, I think.

     Hi Michelle,
Yes that's about all I could find too, my vet did suggest it could be
from dehydration which he is very slightly and I am giving him 100cc's a
night, but I just started that, she told me to up them to 150cc's.  His
CBC came back and his number is holding at 18%-19% (the lab got 19%, she
got 18% in house yesterday).  He does have a slight temp now so back on
the antirobe, and he is still getting the doxy too.

My vet is going to be out of town in Chicago from Friday until Tuesday,
I asked her what to look for if his pressure were getting too low, she
said he might collapse or his gums migh look gray or turn blue ...
comforting.  She is going to come to the house when she gets back to
check and see what his blood pressure is here.

I tasted the antirobe liquid and I know why he hates me now, that is the
grossest, bitterest stuff I have ever tasted.  I got a couple of
capsules to try and if he takes those OK I will switch to that.  His
white count is up to 20000 now so he is fighting an infection or
inflamation now too.  Still testing neagative for hemo.

Well better go give him his meds and feed him and give him his fluids,
just gave him his third epo tonight.  I've been sleeping in the living
room on my inflatable matress which leaks, so in a few hours it's about
half empty.  Bailey has been sleeping on it with me. Poor baby ...
