Hi Jeni,

I just wanted to add -
Instead of reading out loud to your wall kitty, if you know anything about
chanting, try it. It also will help her get used to your voice, and can
be very soothing at the same time. I also have a very feral black kitty,
named "Lenore" (after the lady in Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven"). I had
her in a home made "Kitty Kastle" (roughly 6 foot by 6 foot by 2 feet
wide with plenty of platforms) for about a year. She never tamed down and
would just as soon rip my face off every time I tried to feed her/clean
the litter/etc. I finally just bit the bullet and let her out to
intermingle with the other cats. It took several months before she would
even let me see her, but now she will sit there and stare me down when I
enter the room. I still can't touch her, but she has established herself
with the other cats and I will find her sleeping curled up with them alot.
Just be patient. The other suggestions you've already gotten will help you
too. And if you do use the Rescue Remedy in her water bowl, take some for
yourself too! Please keep us posted.
