Thanks Marissa.  We miss him sooooo much.  If you've worked at a school then you know how I feel.  I'm not looking forward to the rest of the year with her.   :(   I teach 3rd grade and generally work from 7 till anywhere from 5 till 8 at night.  I don't appreciate her attitude at all.

Tonya,

I'm so sorry to hear about Popeye...and what a difficult decision to have to make!  You made the right decision, though, and he knows how much you loved him and how well you cared for him!

What kind of teacher are you?  I actually have a background in education, too...though I'm not teaching.  What a HIDDEOUS principal!  And what a horrible way to start the year with a new boss!!  I CAN'T BELIEVE she said you were "borderline disrespectful" by asking if she had pets!!!!  That's amazing.  Not to mention the whole approving and then "unapproving" your absence!  As if being a teacher isn't a tough enough job already!  I'm so sorry you've had to deal with that.

Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily...both for the loss of popeye - that you will have comfort and peace, and for peaceful crossings for him.  But also for your school year and the stress of dealing with this new principal!  I hope things will improve!!

Thanks for sharing and hang in there!

Marissa
