When I have upped her pred it was because she had bad diarrhea, but 10
mg/day of pred makes her bowels solid within a day or two. She only vomits
when relapsing, and only after eating grass. The pred stops it immediately. She
lost weight when she relapsed 2 months ago, about a pound, and has not put much
of it back on but has not lost more. She is about 8 pounds now, maybe a
little more. I am really worried right now, though, because since last
night she has not been very interested in food. She is eating a little, but only
with great encouragement and harrassment. I gave her a little pepcid and a
little reglan, and some fluids. She is otherwise acting ok. I am not
worried about getting food into her, as she is incredibly easy to force-feed,
but more worried as to why she's not wanting food when she is on so much pred.
It makes me worry more about lymphoma.
