When I have upped her pred it was because she had bad diarrhea, but 10 mg/day of pred makes her bowels solid within a day or two.  She only vomits when relapsing, and only after eating grass. The pred stops it immediately. She lost weight when she relapsed 2 months ago, about a pound, and has not put much of it back on but has not lost more.  She is about 8 pounds now, maybe a little more.  I am really worried right now, though, because since last night she has not been very interested in food. She is eating a little, but only with great encouragement and harrassment. I gave her a little pepcid and a little reglan, and some fluids.  She is otherwise acting ok.  I am not worried about getting food into her, as she is incredibly easy to force-feed, but more worried as to why she's not wanting food when she is on so much pred. It makes me worry more about lymphoma.

Michelle,

My Paddy who was  20 at the time (he is now 21 1/2!) was on 10 mg of prednisolone for about 6 months . When I tapered him, it was very very gradually. Several months on 7.5 mg per day, then 5 mg, & now he is on a permanent daily dose of 2.5.

Does Lucy have any of the usual symptoms?:  Vomiting, diarrhea?  Loss of weight?
