I was directed to this list. I am driving my vets
nuts with questions, and they are a bit less than
supportive.
We do rescue work. Last mo. one of our members helped
a lady with a mess of cats. There was FeLV in some of
the older cats. She pulled out a mom cat and 4
kittens. All tested negative except little Ki. I
noticed his lymph nodes were swollen in his neck.
That is when he tested a weak positive.
He has been fine since: eating like a horse, gaining
appro. weight, and has a shiny coat. He loves to
play.
Question. Where do we go from here? Could he
sero-convert? (vet says no, because he has had 2 weak
positive tests. He says Ki is vioremic I asked about
the IFA, and he said it was a waste of time.)
I really want to help this kitten...I have really
grown to care for him I just don't know how
contageous he is, and i have a lot of cats. What else
can i do? He is not on any meds at all.( He is in a
room by himself at this time)
Thanks for any advice,
Dede
