Well - whether it is FIP or felk virus, the longevity of the FOI as an
anti-viral agent in the body should still be the same - I think that
originally, for felk treatment, they went 7 days on and 7 days off - to
avoid antibody reactions - if you have enough stuff to last for a
couples of weeks, I say, go every day as it may not hurt, but since you
don't right now, I will be concerned that after 4 days, when Lucy's body
is starting to fight against the virus, you don't have any more to give
.. another thought is to give oral interferon, the meantime,, I think
it's still better than nothing -

The dosage and frequency of FOI is still very experimental for feline
virus - there is no existing study to tell if every day protocol is
better than every other day -we are all trying different things out.- I
actually read a few research paper which tested the efficacy of anti
viral activity of different type of feline virus and therefore, I am
saying go every other day in a given situation. -

That's for FIP, which I don't know that she has. The product info says
every day for FeLV. You think for FeLV it is better to do every other
day as well?

Michelle -go every other day - the effect of FOI has been tested
(when given as a shot) to last for a several days according to dr.
Ishida who first treated FIP kitties - so if you do every other day, you
will be sort of wasting FOI - I looked into this closely as I questioned
the same thing a few months ago -- it's hard to do, but stay positive,
send her a positive thought and let her know that everything will be
just fine..
