sherry, at cat tail farms, we had kitties who were FIV+ (confirmed by
western blot) and initially tested positive for FeLV but later, on ifas,
were tested negative and have gone on to live long lives. in some cases,
they'd lived with confirmed FeLVs for quite awhile before we knew to retest,
so they'd not only been initially exposed, but fought it off and stayed
clear while living in a highly compromised environment.

i do, however, know of one FIV we had who did acquire FeLV and eventually
succumb to it--so i can't say there's no possibility. he was NOT vaccinated
against FeLV at the time he was exposed, however.

Ok I have been wrestling with the thought of bringing this beautiful beast
home. The only thing keeping me from doing this is the FEAR of the felv.Ihave 3
fiv boys and one neg
boy.I would just feel so aweful if one of my boys got it after making it
out of there. Are there people on here that mix fiv+ and felv+ and had no
spread of the felv?? I just love her sooooo much and it just kills me to
leave her there everytime I go. But I also love my boys with all my heart
that I am torn on this.Any input is VERY MUCH appreciated.THanks
