Some cats will go anorexic for no apparent medical reason, but the out come will be the same if they don't eat, disaster. It is important to get food into Caroline even if you have to wrap her in a towel and hold her upright shoulder height and syringe feed her. This is how I syringe fed Fred for about 2 weeks while we were waiting to get the feeding tube in. He didn't like it a bit but I got about a can of AD/KD mixed and blended into him a day, sometimes added baby food into it. His anorexia was due to electrolyte imbalances due to his CRF. He just didn't feel well and didn't want to eat.
