Hi Sally,

I don't have any experience with the actual eye
removal surgery, but we adopted Smookie while she
still had her stitches.  She was a kitten, about 4
months old, when she had the surgery.  She was fine
when we brought her home, but we did have to fight a
corneal ulcer in her remaining eye, which was scary
since that's why she lost her other eye.  The lysine
was the only thing that helped to get rid of it.  She
was healthy otherwise.  She doesn't even know she only
has one eye!
