That amounts to about a scoop a meal. There are some directions on the can for infirmed and pregnant cats. To be honest, sometimes--most of the time--I go by what feels right at that time on that day etc. And it can't hurt but I watch her weight (by feel not by scales) to make sure she isn't getting too many calories. The way she burns them up running from window to window --------I have had no problem but I am aware of the extra calories involved.
