Yes, the Nighttime Rescue Remedy has Valerian in it.

Also, for sleep issues, try camomile tea w/ Valerian root & catnip stirred in..........

It definitely should.  I didn't think I would be able to sleep when Monkee died because he slept with me every night.  But Rescue Remedy Nighttime and the supplement Melatonin (it's in with the Vitamin Supplements at any store), kept me sleeping fine.  It was the waking up that was hard because I'd wake up to the realization that he was gone and we always had these cuddle sessions in the a.m. that I missed!

You should try Melatonin too.  It really works and I am not kidding.  I have to split the pills with a pill splitter, or else I would never be able to wake up.  During the week, I usually take a 1/4 of a pill every night.  Works wonders.  I have taken it for a year now and I NEVER have difficulty sleeping and I have been through some things this year that should have disrupted my sleep (losing my job, breakup with long-term boyfriend, Monkee's illness, etc.).  My mom thought I would need Ambien or something like that when Monkee died, but I told her "no way!  I'd never wake up!" because I was fine with my Rescue Rem and Melatonin.

I use the spray for me (a few squirts on the tongue- it's like using a spray breath freshener) and the droppers for the cats.

*I forgot to add that if you touch the dropper to your cats' mouth when dosing, don't put it right back in the bottle...rinse off with warm, mild soapy water, then replace.  If you put it right back in, you get "essence of cat" into the mixture, which can mess up the whole thing!
