This looks like nothing to me, especially since it was your own cat. You know
it's health and it is not likely to have any disease to transmit. Do you have
peroxide and an antibiotic ointment around? Did it bleed much? It is always
good to let a bite wound bleed out do help wash out bacteria. A neighbor's cat
bit me once (he was going for Harley and got me). He hit a large vein on the
back of my hand, blood was spurting all over. I let it bleed a few minutes,
washed my hand off and poured peroxide over my hand. Then I made a pressure
bandage with 2 - 4 x 4's and wrapped it tight. I went to the ER after I
cleaned up the house and garage. They said I had a nice pressure bandage, gave
me a prescription for antibiotics and sent me home. These days, I take care of
these things myself. I had my doctor give me a prescription for antibiotics so
I would have some handy, just in case. My experience with ER's has not been
too good at our local hospital so I rely on myself. Unless the teeth went in
deep and the bacteria could not get out, I would not worry. I have been doing
this for at least 60 years and am still alive to tell about it.
